Download or read book The Lost Scriptures of Giza written by Jason Breshears and published by Book Tree. This book was released on 2006-07 with total page 256 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: How and why was the Great Pyramid of Giza built? What was its purpose? What about the Sphinx? Are there clues today that will allow us to understand its meaning? Breshears takes us through these questions and provides interesting answers based on years of meticulous studies. His work brings us into various holy books, the study of ancient symbols and into the oldest known writings of ancient Egypt. After exploring every part of the pyramid both inside and out, the author reveals how it connects to history and how we can make future predictions based on the patterns he has deciphered. He advances the theory that all major cataclysms of the past occurred at specifically predicable times, and predicts when the next world-wide catastrophe will come. If his predictions are accurate -- and history seems to bear this out -- then we may need to prepare for what is coming.

Book excerpt: According to some sources, this book was once the original start of the Bible. We do know at one time that it was once part of the Bible, being referred to in Joshua and Second Samuel. It also survived the burning of the Alexandria Library in about 389 AD due to a fast acting custodian. Albinus Alcuin later found this work and did the original translation of it from Hebrew in 800 AD. It was later suppressed but rediscovered in 1829, when it was once again suppressed. Only now has it reemerged to become widely available and judged properly for its value. Note: A more common 64 page version is in circulation, but is a proven forgery.

Book excerpt: With this book, your views on God will never be the same. With clear Biblical evidence, Jehovah is shown to be an entity with no sense of ethics, forgiveness, or compassion. Was Jehovah a god, or a demon? Why did he never promise a heaven or any kind of reward to his followers? Does any entity that murders thousands of devoted followers deserve to be worshiped? Jehovah has stopped punishing people in terrible ways, so its probably safe to buy this book.

Download or read book The Power of Form written by Ana Fernandes and published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing. This book was released on 2015-02-27 with total page 250 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Although positivism dismissed myths as childish fancy, bound to be superseded by reason, there has been a continuous reappraisal of the power of myths since the 19th century. Once viewed as primitive and unreliable accounts and an inadequate and distorted form of knowledge, myths came to be perceived as exemplary narratives, consisting of rich and complex symbolic constructs that carry meaning and a connection to reality. Myths then came to be regarded as a privileged expression of the human soul and of its possibly submerged and unconscious abysses and dramas. Rather than inherently obscure and elusive to a rational grasp, mythical narratives would therefore be driven by logical reasoning, giving shape to a particular worldview of life and humankind. The enduring power of mythical narrative is attested to by its very plasticity, subject to multiple recreations informed by changing concerns and insights. Mythical narratives have thus attracted the interest of various disciplines, from ethnology and history to philosophy, literature, sociology, politics, the history of religions and art history. This interdisciplinary volume studies how myths are inscribed and recycled within both individual and collective heritage, and examines the personal and political implications of multifaceted engagement with myths as one of the forms through which societies try to make sense of their perplexities.

Have you found yourself brimming with excitement, exclaiming to all who will listen, "Read this book!" This biography is the story of a child who took her love of childrens’ books and found a way to share it with the world as she grew up. Her voice would be the first to carry the message of childrens’ right to read across the world. It is not too much to say that she started a revolution for children’s books in her career as the first children’s librarian in the British Commonwealth.
