Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: And in the days of Nimrod, the mighty man (or giant), a fire appeared which ascended from the earth, and Nimrod went down, and looked at it, and worshipped it, and he established priests to minister there, and to cast incense from it. From that day the Persians began to worship fire...-from "The Fourth Thousand Years"One of the most prolific and respected Egyptologists of the Victorian era, Budge here offers his translation of the 4th-century A.D. Syrian text commonly known as "the Cave of Treasures," a history of the world from the Creation to the crucifixion of Christ and considered by some to be an apocryphal book of the Bible. Budge's extensive notes, linking the work to other ancient writings, as well as the numerous illustrations, make this unusual work, first published in 1927, an excellent resource for students of ancient civilizations and comparative mythology.SIR E. A. WALLIS BUDGE (1857-1934) was curator of Egyptian and Assyrian antiquities at the British Museum from 1894 to 1924. Among his many works of translation and studies of ancient Egyptian religion and ritual is his best-known project, The Egyptian Book of the Dead.

Download or read book The Cave of Treasures written by St. Ephrem the Syrian and published by Dalcassian Publishing Company. This book was released on with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This text is attributed to Ephrem Syrus, who was born at Nisibis soon after AD 306 and died in 373, but it is now generally believed that its current form is 6th century or newer. The assertion that the Cave of Treasures was written in the 4th century is supported by the general contents of the work. These reproduce Ephrem's peculiar methods of exegesis and supply many examples of his methods in religious argument, with which we are familiar from his other writings. His pride in the antiquity of the Syriac language also appears in this work. That it was written in Mesopotamia by a Syrian, there is no doubt, and if Ephrem was not the original author, or perhaps later editor, belonged to the school of Ephrem. The oldest Christian work on the history of God's dealing with man from Adam to Christ is probably the anonymous Conflict of Adam and Eve with Satan, which, in its original form, is from the 5th or 6th century AD. The writer of the Cave of Treasures borrowed largely from the Conflict of Adam and Eve, or shared a common source with it.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The First Book of Adam and Eve details the life and times of Adam and Eve after they were expelled from the garden to the time that Cain kills his brother Abel. This book is simply a version of an account handed down by words of mouth, from generation to generation, linking the time that the first human life was created to the time when somebody finally decided to write it down. Although considered to be pseudepigraphic by some, it carries significant meaning and insight into events of that time. It is doubtful that these writings could have survived all the many centuries if there were no substance to them.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It is considered by many scholars to be part of the "Pseudepigrapha", historical biblical works that are considered to be fiction. This stigma, prevented its inclusion in the compilation of the Holy Bible. Its a written history of what happened in the days of Adam and Eve after they were cast out of the garden. Considered to be pseudepigraphic by some, it carries significant meaning and insight into events of that time. Its simply an account handed down by word of mouth, from generation to generation, linking the time the first human life was created to the time it was finally written down. This version is the work of unknown Egyptians. The lack of historical allusion makes it difficult to date the writing, however, using other pseudepigraphical works as a reference, it was probably written a few hundred years before the birth of Christ. Parts of this version are found in the Jewish Talmud, and the Islamic Koran, showing what a vital role it played in the original literature of human wisdom.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The two books contained in this volume are considered by many scholars to be part of the "Pseudepigrapha" and form part of “The Forgotten Books of Eden” edited by Rutherford H. Platt, Jr. These books are a written account of what happened to Adam and Eve in the days of after they were cast out of the Garden of Eden. The First Book of Adam and Eve details the life and times of Adam and Eve in the period immediately following their expulsion from the Garden of Eden to the time that Cain slays his brother Abel. It tells of Adam and Eve's first dwelling in the Cave of Treasures; their trials and temptations; and of Satan's many apparitions to them. It also tells of the birth of Cain, Abel, and their twin sisters; and of Cain's love for his beautiful twin sister, Luluwa, whom Adam and Eve wished to be joined to Abel The Second Book of Adam and Eve gives an account of the life and times of Cain and his twin Sister Luluwa after they went away until the time that Enoch was taken by God. The "Pseudepigrapha" is a collection of historical biblical works that are considered to be fiction. Because of this, this book was not included in the compilation of the Christian Bible. Although considered to be Pseudepigrapha by some, it carries significant meaning and insight into events of that time. In order to put these two books into perspective, one has to ask how, and why, these writings have survived through the centuries and if they are as unsubstantial as many righteous scholars claim them to be?

Book excerpt: This book is simply a version of an account handed down by word of mouth, from generation to generation, linking the time that the first human life was created to the time when somebody finally decided to write it down. This particular version is the work of unknown Egyptians. The lack of historical allusion makes it difficult to precisely date the writing, however, using other pseudepigraphical works as a reference, it was probably written a few hundred years before the birth of Christ. Parts of this version are found in the Jewish Talmud, and the Islamic Koran, showing what a vital role it played in the original literature of human wisdom. The Egyptian author wrote in Arabic, but later translations were found written in Ethiopic. Translated into King James English and printed in 1927 in the Forgotten books of Eden this manuscript is considered by most to be the oldest excluded book of the Bible. Also included in this eBook package is the Book of Giants, Book of Enoch, and Testament of Solomon.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The First and Second Books of Adam and Eve, also known as The Conflict of Adam and Eve with Satan, are a late Christian work dating hundreds of years after the actual Biblical Scriptures. The First Book of Adam and Eve tells the story of what happened to Adam and Eve after they left Eden. It tells of the difficulties they encountered in their new home known as the Cave of Treasures, and of Satan's many appearances (often mistranslated as "apparitions") to them. The First Book of Adam and Eve also chronicles the birth of Cain and his twin sister Luluwa and of Abel and his twin sister Aklemia. It also details Cain's murder of Abel, as well as Adam's death. The first book focuses on Adam's sorrow at being outside the Garden of Eden. Adam and Eve are constantly plagued by visits from Satan, who appears to them in many forms and attempts to trick them over and over again. The Second Books of Adam and Eve is an account of the history of the patriarchs who lived before the Flood. It chronicles the lives of Seth's descendants on the Holy Mountain and tells how they broke God's commandment and left the mountain, being tricked by Cain's descendants. The First and Second Books of Adam and Eve are classed as pseudegraphica which means "false works." The texts are thought to have their source in the fifth or sixth century CE, but they show evidence of extensive and much later Christian additions from after the time of Middle Ages.

Book excerpt: The esoteric knowledge presented here, represents what are in my belief, some of the most carefully guarded, heavily veiled, and least understood secrets of biblical wisdom traditions. Many have stumbled upon this knowledge without necessarily grasping just what the full implications this knowledge means for unlocking and deciphering the riddles of our Holy Bible as bestowed upon us by our Father Yahweh through the line of prophets and even His only begotten Son Yahushuah Savior Messiah. The secret that unlocks all things biblical is knowledge that Cain was a child of Eve and Lucifer and not the first born son of Adam. Understanding that there are two blood lines upon the planet and that these two bloodlines have been warring with one another since the inception and dawning of humanity upon this world will help one to decipher this critical theme as it plays out through the totality of all available scripture, from the fall to soon coming judgment.
